Barack is not a Muslim but the Republican attack machine is the best in the business. Likely, they will seriously damage Obama with ads and other dirty tactics. Some of their victims include Kerry (swiftboat ads), Howard Dean, and Michael Dukakis (willie horton ads).

Well, that's not technically true, he is actually part Muslim. His middle name is Hussein and his father was a staunch Muslim. His grandmother lives in a Muslim tribal village in Kenya. Yes, he is Christian now as far as I know, but he clearly has Muslim roots. I am not a Catholic anymore, but as my mom says ';Once a Catholic, always a Catholic';.





This might be an issue later in the campaign. In all fairness it shouldn't matter, but it will I think. And yes, I think the Republicans hope Obama will win the nomination because I don't think he is widely electable. They know this and will use it to their advantage. Who knows? Maybe there are Republicans out there who are funding Obama's campaign and canvassing for him?

He's a Christian. His father was Kenyan, and that is where the name came from. It entered the Kenyan language from Arab traders that went to the region.





Which is why he claims it is Arabic and Kenyan. Because it is both. But Obama is Christian.
First of all, if there were ANY unexposed scandals, the Clintons would have done it by now, not the republicans. Don't forget who beat the republicans at their own game not once, not even twice, but three times when you include the two elections and the attempted impeachment. The Clintons are republican beaters and therefore represent the biggest threat to an Obama Presidency. If he gets by her, he goes all the way.
